Mission

The mission of the Department of Radiography at the Nelson Mandela University is to apply and extend knowledge by means of teaching and research in accordance with internationally recognised standards in order to:

• educate and train students for careers in radiography to meet the needs of South Africa and in particular the region;
• keep abreast with the latest developments in technology and remain in the forefront of curriculum development in radiography;
• to be active in promotion of primary health care.
